I was at the top of my career. An accomplished Chartered Accountant, a partner in one of the Big 4 accounting firms, but this achievement didn’t settle well with my inner struggles. I wanted meaning and purpose in life but I didn't know how to get this meaning. What I was sure of was that I needed to take a new path in life. Hence, I quit my job (don’t all great stories start like that?).

I left home and went on a soul-searching journey around the world for about six months. During this period, one thing that constantly came up for me was that I wanted to do more than just playing with numbers. I wanted to be a traveler, a photographer, a novelist, and anything else that would help me express myself fully.

After coming back, I made a few failed attempts at starting up new businesses. Many stories end here. But two things kept me going – my quest for meaning, and my unending desire to become an advocate of a meaningful lifestyle. Having lost all money and some self-confidence, I started working on a novel. The protagonist was a psychologist working on a school curriculum that focused on creating a more meaningful and happier life for the students.

Great things happen with greater partners – my wife, Urooj, seeing my inner struggles encouraged me to stop channeling my inner desires on paper and to live the dream in a more proactive way. She being a fashion designer, embarked on this journey with me. The result is the fruit of our love, labor, and utmost conviction in our beliefs – XindaDil. And we are so proud to finally be able to bring it to life.
